LearnWorlds vs Propiaterra - Video Course Platform Comparison
Propiaterra vs LearnWorlds

LearnWorlds is the most education-focused platform in this comparison. Where Kajabi leans toward marketing and sales, LearnWorlds leans toward learning; interactive video, SCORM compliance, structured assessments, and detailed learner analytics. If your courses are academically rigorous or serve a corporate training audience, LearnWorlds has features the others simply don't.
For most independent course creators earning $100K+, though, the platform presents a familiar set of trade-offs: meaningful features locked behind expensive tiers, no built-in email marketing on any plan, and a video retrieval process that requires contacting support rather than downloading your own content.
Propiaterra is built on different foundations. We build your course platform once - on Webflow, Outseta, Bunny.net, and Make - with every account set up in your name, billed directly to you. Your site, your student data, your content, your automations.
What LearnWorlds is genuinely good at
LearnWorlds' interactive video capability is best-in-class among the platforms we've looked at. On the Learning Center plan, you can embed quizzes, interactions, overlays, and navigation directly into video - something no other platform in this comparison offers at any price. For structured academic content, this is a genuine differentiator.
SCORM compliance, available on Pro Trainer and above, opens the door to corporate training contracts and compliance programmes that most platforms can't support. If that's your market, it matters.
Customer support is consistently praised across G2, Capterra, and Trustpilot. Fast, knowledgeable, and personalised. It's one of LearnWorlds' most reliable advantages over competitors.
Unlimited courses on every plan is a genuine advantage, no product limits like Kajabi. The 30-day free trial requires no credit card.
Where it gets complicated
The tier jump. LearnWorlds' plans are $29/month (Starter), $99/month (Pro Trainer), and $299/month (Learning Center). The gap between Pro Trainer and Learning Center is the most commonly cited complaint across every review platform. White-label branding, API access, webhooks, custom automations, and advanced interactive video all require the $299/month Learning Center tier. Many creators discover this during their free trial.
Monthly Active Learner caps. LearnWorlds advertises "unlimited user profiles", where you can store as many contact records as you like. What it doesn't headline is that each plan enforces a Monthly Active Learner (MAL) limit: 1,000 on Starter, and 2,000 on both Pro Trainer and Learning Center. A creator with over 2,000 students logging in each month would need to move to the custom-priced High Volume & Corporate tier. This is a meaningful constraint that doesn't appear prominently in the platform's marketing.
No built-in email marketing on any plan. This is LearnWorlds' most consistent limitation across all independent reviews. Pro Trainer and above can send basic mass emails (2,000 credits on Pro Trainer, 5,000 on Learning Center), but there's no visual builder, no drip sequences, and no marketing automation. Running a course business without a proper email stack means paying for an external tool regardless.
The mobile app is a paid add-on and not available on Starter at all. Unlike Teachable (included on all plans) or Kajabi (included on Basic), LearnWorlds' branded mobile app is a separate paid add-on, available on Pro Trainer and above only. Apple Developer ($99/year) and Google Developer ($25 one-time) accounts are required separately.
Video retrieval requires contacting support. LearnWorlds' own help documentation lists six categories of exportable data: user data, sales records, activity logs, user progress, PDFs, and assessment responses. Videos are absent from this list entirely. There is no self-service download button, no bulk export feature, and no API endpoint for retrieving uploaded video files. If you want to leave the platform and take your content with you, contacting support is the only available path, and even that process is not documented as a supported off-boarding step. Creators who upload to LearnWorlds' built-in storage should keep local copies of all content. Note: creators using Vimeo or Wistia as their video host retain those files on those platforms regardless. The lock-in applies specifically to videos stored on LearnWorlds' own infrastructure.
The $5 per enrolment fee on Starter. The entry plan charges a flat $5 on every course enrolment, on top of Stripe's standard processing fees. At 50 enrolments a month, that's $250/month in fees on a $29/month plan.
What Propiaterra does differently
We build on Webflow, Outseta, Bunny.net, and Make and every account is set up in your name from day one.
Your design, not a template. LearnWorlds provides a site builder with customisable templates. Webflow gives you a completely custom design, your brand system, your typography, your layout, your custom video player. With our Signature and Flagship services, nothing on your platform looks like a course platform template.
Your videos in your account. Video is delivered through Bunny.net - a purpose-built global content delivery network - with a custom-branded player, that also provides ai video transcription. Your content is in your Bunny.net account. No support ticket required to retrieve it.
Your CRM, email, and payments in your Outseta account. Outseta handles your CRM (contact management, pipelines, tagging), email marketing (broadcasts, sequences, automations), payments (Stripe-native subscriptions, one-time purchases, and trials), and help desk, all under your account. No external email tool required, no payment surcharge, no lock-in to a platform payments system.
Your automations in your Make account. Every workflow - onboarding, progress triggers, certificate delivery, re-engagement - runs in Make under your account. Visible, editable, portable.
Your student data sits in your Outseta account, where you are the sole data controller. LearnWorlds' Terms of Service grant them a broad, perpetual licence to use content for platform operations. Your Outseta account has no equivalent clause.
The ongoing tool costs are ~$85–150/month, billed directly to you at published rates. There's no monthly fee to Propiaterra after the build.
Where LearnWorlds has a genuine advantage is in interactive video and SCORM compliance, features we don't offer. If those capabilities are central to your course product, LearnWorlds at the Learning Center tier is worth serious consideration. For creators whose priority is brand, ownership, and a platform that reflects their business rather than a third-party's, Propiaterra is the more appropriate fit.
A note on price
LearnWorlds Learning Center at $299/month (annual: $249/month) = $2,988/year, every year, to access white-label and the full feature set.
Propiaterra Signature = $7,500 once, then ~$100/month in tool costs billed directly to you.
By year three, the LearnWorlds Learning Center user has paid nearly $9,000. The Propiaterra client has paid $7,500 plus roughly $3,600 in tools. And the platform is theirs.
You can calculate your actual costs using our pricing calculator at the end of this article.
Which is right for you?
LearnWorlds is the stronger choice if interactive video, SCORM compliance, or corporate training features are central to what you're building and you're prepared to pay for the Learning Center tier to access them.
Propiaterra is worth a conversation if your priority is a platform built to your brand, with every account in your name, every student relationship in your system, and no dependency on a platform's support team to retrieve your own content.
